Portobello beach, Edinburgh, Scotland.
It’s a strange time of year in the North! It doesn’t get properly dark at night and even the sunsets take on different hues. The sand at this beach had a lovely purple tint and above the dark clouds, the sky is still blue. The evening wasn’t quite as calm as it appears here. It was take-your-breath-away windy so I propped my tripod against a fence then lay on it to hold it steady.
I did take this with my new Polaroid wide angle lens attached to the 18-55mm lens on my Sony Alpha A550 and I was going to include lots of cool “Here’s how I did this stuff” behind-the-scenes snaps and info but it was properly chilly and I really wasn’t dressed for the weather, so I’ll save that for a warmer day, or at least a day when I remember to bring a coat.
